Access keys let you jump directly to different sections around our site without using a mouse. You may find them a more convenient way to move round the site without having to move your mouse at all.

How to use Access Keys

Unfortunately, different browsers use access keys in different ways. In general you will need to hold down a key or two, and then press the access key you want.

Browser (OS) What to do
IE 5-7 (PC) Hold down the ALT key, press the number of the access key, release both keys then press ENTER
IE 5+ (Mac) Hold down the CTRL key and press the number of the access key
IE 4 (PC) Hold down the ALT key and press the number of the access key
IE 4.5 (Mac) Access keys are not supported
Firefox (PC) Hold down the Shift and ALT key and press the number of the access key
Firefox (Mac) Hold down the CTRL key and press the number of the access key
Google Chrome Hold down the ALT key and press the number of the access key
Netscape 7 (PC) Hold down the ALT key and press the number of the access key
Netscape 6 Access keys are not supported
Safari (Mac) Hold down the CTRL key and press the number of the access key
Safari (PC) Hold down the ALT key and press the number of the access key
Opera Hold down the Shift key and press Escape, release both keys, then press the number of the access key
